How to use
LabraFur Lifestyle Kit
A Lab’s fur doesn’t stay put; it ends up on your sofa, your clothes and on you. Our LabraFur lifestyle kit deals with all three through a Source, Surface and Self approach. We’re Lab owners too, so we know the shedding never truly ends, but the right tools put you back in control.
Deshedding Brush
Begin at the neck, then glide toward the tail in long, smooth strokes — your Lab will happily lean in.
Use medium pressure to draw out trapped undercoat without bothering the skin. Take it one section at a time, emptying the brush as you go. Aim for 2–3x per week, or daily when the shedding season peaks. Brush after a bath once the coat has dried completely, since that’s when the most undercoat comes loose. Ideally do it outdoors, or keep the vacuum nearby.
Wet wash shed gloves
Use the wet wash shed gloves during bath time to help loosen and remove loose fur from your dog's coat. Gently massage in the direction of hair growth, then rinse the gloves as needed.
Fur Remover Mitt
Glide the mitt over furniture and other fabric surfaces to gather loose fur. Work in smooth strokes and remove the collected fur from the mitt before continuing.
Portable Remover
Keep the portable remover close at hand for quick fur removal on the go. Run it over clothing and suitable fabric surfaces, then clear away the collected fur.
Laundry Remover
Use the laundry remover to help collect loose pet hair from clothing and washable fabrics. Follow the product's usage instructions for the best results.

Shedding guide
Pick your state
Labs drop fur throughout the year, yet the timing of the big shed varies with your climate. Pick your state on the map for your peak months and a suggested brushing frequency.
When your brush works hardest
The LabradorableCo deshedding brush is made to pull out loose undercoat while leaving the protective topcoat intact. It works best during the 2–3 weeks before and across the peak months listed above, since the undercoat starts to loosen then and is primed to shift.
- Peak season: aim for 3–4 brushing sessions weekly, each lasting 5–10 minutes.
- Off-season: a weekly brush is enough to maintain a healthy coat, and the brush won’t deliberately tug hair out.
- Young pups (under 8 months): choose a softer brush, and move to deshedding after the adult double coat arrives. Our wash gloves make a good alternative; their silicone tips gather loose fur everywhere and are suitable for sensitive spots.
After a swim or rain: let the coat dry completely before you brush.
Product Questions
How long before I see results?
Most Lab owners see a big drop in loose fur right after the first session. For best results, brush 2-3 times weekly through the first two weeks — by that point most owners say their vacuuming has been halved.
Does the kit still pay off for a Lab that sheds all year?
Even more so. Labs shed nonstop, with two big blow-out seasons each spring and autumn. The kit covers exactly that: everyday upkeep plus thorough seasonal deshedding, all in one.
What's included in the LabraFur Kit?
Inside the kit you get the LabraFur deshedding brush, plus the LabraFur surface mitt, plus the portable fur remover, covering shedding at its source, on your surfaces and while out and about. Every kit also comes with free gifts!
What sets this apart from the brushes I’ve already tried?
Standard brushes are made for dogs in general. The LabraFur brush was built around the Labrador double coat in particular, with the tooth spacing, angle and pressure all tuned for Lab fur. That is why it works where other brushes have fallen short.
What if my Lab can’t stand brushing, will this still help?
The LabraFur deshedding brush is designed for a more comfortable grooming experience. Introduce it gently, use light pressure, and keep early sessions short so your Lab can get used to the routine.
Cleaning & maintenance
How do I clean the products?
Remove collected fur after each use. Clean the brush and mitt according to their materials, using a soft brush or damp cloth when needed. Allow products to dry completely before storing.
How can I open the fur compartment on the fur remover?
Open the fur compartment using the release mechanism on the remover, empty the collected fur into a bin, and close the compartment securely before using it again.
How often should I clean the products?
Empty the fur remover after each use and remove trapped fur from the brush and mitt regularly. Give the products a more thorough clean whenever residue builds up.
Is the LabraFur laundry remover safe to put in the dryer?
Check the care instructions supplied with your specific fur remover before placing it in a dryer. Only use it in appliances and under conditions explicitly approved by the product instructions.
Which surfaces work with the LabraFur removal mitt?
The removal mitt is intended for picking up loose pet fur from suitable household surfaces. Test an inconspicuous area first, particularly on delicate fabrics, and follow the product care instructions.
